Charter Bus vs. Party Bus: Picking the Perfect Ride for North Louisiana

By the team that has moved Northwest Louisiana for twenty-five years—the way you deserve to travel.

The short answer

A charter bus moves your group in comfort. A party bus turns the ride itself into the event. Both live inside the Shreveport Limousine fleet, ready for outings across Shreveport and Bossier City, plus Monroe, Natchitoches, and Alexandria. The guide below shows how to choose the right keys.

Size and seating

Charter bus (up to 29 passengers)

  • Forward-facing seats with three-point belts

  • Rear luggage is big enough for coolers and equipment

  • Aisle tall enough for your six-foot center to stroll without ducking

Party bus and Mercedes Sprinter limousines

  • 14 to 20 limousine seats wrapping the cabin

  • No standing riders because every guest deserves a seat and a seatbelt

  • Brand-new 2025 white Sprinter, exclusive to our market, picture-ready for weddings and VIP arrivals

Need something lighter? Our sister company, iShuttle, operates both standard and luxury shuttles for airport loops, campus transfers, and recurring employee relocation services.

Safety and professionalism

Three deciding questions

  1. Is the ride part of the event?
If yes, take the party bus and let the playlist roll.

  2. Do you need space for coolers, banners, or band gear?
The rear luggage bay on the 29-passenger charter bus handles it with ease.

  3. Is Instagram content on your agenda?
The new white 2025 Sprinter photographs like a studio on wheels.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between a charter bus and a party bus? A charter bus is built for point-A-to-B comfort with forward seating and rear luggage. A party bus is built for celebration with lounge seating and LED lighting while still giving every guest a seatbelt.

If the bus seats 29, can we fill every seat and still bring all our gear? Not always. Every bus has strict weight and luggage limits. To stay comfortably under those limits, we typically leave a few seats open for hand-bags and backpacks and dedicate the rear storage bay to larger equipment. If the combined passenger count and cargo get too close to the vehicle’s capacity, we’ll recommend moving up to a larger coach or adding an extra vehicle. That way everyone and everything travels safely and comfortably.

Can we bring food or drinks on board? Yes—small coolers and sealed beverages are welcome. Alcohol is allowed for guests 21 + when one adult signs our onboard agreement.

What if our group needs to travel from Shreveport to New Orleans and return safely the same day? Your safety comes first. For long-distance, same-day trips we schedule a fresh relief chauffeur to meet the coach at a planned stop along the route. The second driver takes the wheel for the return leg, so no one is on duty past safe service hours. You stay on schedule, and everyone arrives home rested and secure.

It's my first time booking group transportation, will you tell me what i need? That’s exactly why we’re here. Tell us the basics how many people, where you’re going, and any special gear or timing and our planning team will lay out the best vehicle options, explain the costs up front, and make sure everyone rides safely and comfortably without stretching your budget.
